Airport Baggage Handling Systems and Sorting

Crisplant – part of the BEUMER Group and a leading global supplier of automated baggage handling systems – will feature a live demonstration of the CrisBag® tote-based baggage handling system, whilst BEUMER Innovation andAutomation (BIAA) will launch a new Baggage Unloader, at Inter Airport, Munich, on 8-11 October 2013.

In addition to the live demonstration and new product launch, the Crisplant stand will also feature video of the integration of Standard 3 in-tote screening into CrisBag® and a static display of the latest CrisCheck conveyor and check-in desk, as part of the energy-efficient, high-capacity and secure baggage handling solutions.

A presentation on the ’bag factory’ concept of baggage handling will be given by Christoph Oftring, International Sales Manager, Crisplant, and Dirk Fransen, Director, BEUMER Innovation and Automation. The presentation will explain how batch-building can create higher capacity in airport baggage handling operations and reveal the results of trials carried out at London Heathrow Airport.

Crisplant and BEUMER will be on Stand 1044, Hall B5, at Inter Airport, Munich, on 8-11 October 2013, and the ’bag factory’ presentation will take place during the Design & Development session on Tuesday, October 8, at the SMART Airports Conference 2013 which runs concurrently with Inter Airport 2013.
