“Temporary terminals provide a turnkey solution which enables airports to meet surges in passenger numbers for major sporting events such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro,” explains Managing Director, José Arsénio: “They can also be used to enable airports to maintain normal operation during upgrades to their permanent baggage handling infrastructure.”

BEUMER Latinoamericana will demonstrate how temporary solutions can be designed to integrate all the facilities offered by a permanent terminal, such as early baggage storage and baggage handling based on the industry’s most energy-efficient sorters, in addition to immigration, and security which is compliant with all screening and safety regulations.

Tambo Airport, Johannesburg, to prepare for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, with the installation of a new baggage handling system designed to increase the airport’s capacity by 50%.

An on-stand video will demonstrate a fully-integrated advanced baggage handling system based on the industry’s most energy-efficient LS-4000E high-speed sorter.
