FARNBOROUGH International Airshow – 19 – 25 July 2010 – Farnborough Show Centre

Elsag Datamat showcases in Farnborough some of its best appreciated advanced technology products. They include integrated video surveillance and vehicle licence plate reading systems for fixed and mobile applications, biometric solutions for access control and personal electronic surveillance, as well as tactical data link management and mission planning support systems.

In particular, inside the Finmeccanica stand, in the Security and Resilience area, Elsag Datamat is showcasing the Auto-Detector, a vehicle licence plate reader representing a control tool that can also boast numerous applications, including three thousand installations in Carabinieri and Police vehicles in Italy and use on a daily basis by more than 350 US law enforcement agencies.

The other security solutions on show are the PSS (Patrol Support System), a biometric hand-held device used by police forces for integrated surveillance, and the S3I – Integrated Video Surveillance & Security System Solution, which provides real time security status images of all infrastructure sites by seamlessly integrating sensors, video cameras and control software.

At Farrnborough 2010, the S3I plays a key role inside the central area which represents the integrated capabilities of the Finmeccanica Group, In fact, S3I is one of the systems that will provide live demos in the central area, showcasing the Group’s technological solutions in securing major events.
