Airport Car Park Revenue Solutions

Date 25.01.2011

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) at Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, has awarded ZEAG USA a project to update its current revenue control equipment. This includes installation of the latest ZMS Enterprise™ software and updated lane equipment.

Zeag USA has been the parking equipment and service supplier to the MAC for the past 10 years and during that time, has built a solid relationship. Therefore, when the airport considered upgrading its equipment, the decision was made to update the existing revenue control equipment instead of replacement.

The MAC laid out specific requirements, and the ZMS Enterprise™ version of software will be deployed with Microsoft® platform features that include integration of the Microsoft® Active Directory for improved administration controls on larger sites, clustered databases and increased web-based features. The PARCS will still export real time data to other airport systems including its award winning “SurePark®” customer notification modules. Also included, is the functionality of ePark® which earned the IPI Award of Excellence. This ticketless system was developed by ZEAG USA for the MAC and is currently being utilized by over 80% of all MAC’s parking customers.

At the same time, the management software is being extensively upgraded and the lane devices will be replaced utilizing the ZEAG OrionXR range of products. This includes ZEAG LE Entry Stations, ZEAG LX Exit Stations, and the new ZEAG Fee ComputerXR with automated cashier peripherals to enable it to work in an unattended mode. Additional features will introduce Barcode Validations that will allow users to be validated without going to a manned cashier lane.

The continuing development of ZMS Enterprise™ is managed by the ZEAG USA engineering team partnering with ZEAG engineers from Switzerland, UK and Canada for true global solutions.
