Hymers wins the Weightmans Award for Innovation at the North West IoD Awards

Our Managing Director, David Hymers, won the Weightmans Award for Innovation at the North West Institute of Directors (IoD) annual award ceremony.

David was recognised following a phenomenal year of growth and success in which he has further expanded the business. In recent years, we have become the foremost manufacturer and supplier of mailroom consumables and equipment. David has grown the company into over 20 countries and gained an MBE for his service to export.

During the last year we have opened further subsidiary companies in France, Germany and South Africa. This is in addition to our three offices in the UK and a subsidiary company in the USA.

In April 2013 we were granted a Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

This is in addition to the 2 Warrington Guardian Business Awards that we picked up earlier in the year.

Speaking about the IoD award David says: “I am delighted to have been recognised with this very prestigious IoD award. This year has been phenomenally busy for Totalpost with us expanding into new territories and business sectors. This success would not have been possible without the fantastic hard work and support of the whole Totalpost team.”

This prestigious event was held at Emirates Old Trafford, Lancashire Cricket Ground and attracted around 400 IoD members and guests. The IoD has around 4,000 members UK wide and sets standards for company directors across the country.

Our next awards will be the CN Group Business Awards for which we are nominated for four. This event is being held on the 19th October at Rheged. Next week we are attending the next round of The Manufacturer Magazine’s Awards having got through to the final stages of the competition.
