Totalpost Services PLC is pleased to announce the opening of a subsidiary company – Totalpost Services ZA inJohannesburg.

The South African business will focus on X-Ray security screening. This follows a very successful 18 months for Totalpost in the X-Ray security screening sector. During this period the company took on the sole UK and Irelanddistributor rights for the world renowned Astrophysics Inc X-Ray security screening range. In the first 6 months of 2013 they secured over £1m of orders and became Astrophysics’ top European distributor.

In addition to the full range of conveyer X-Ray security screening equipment Totalpost is also providing smaller cabinet X-ray screening devices internationally.

Totalpost’s Managing Director and Technical Director recently undertook a two week business trip to South Africa in which they secured office space, employed staff and met with partners. As well as having the distributor rights for the X-Ray security screening range in South Africa Totalpost will also be supplying a variety of other security equipment including metal detectors, CCTV and access control.

The Astrophysics range of X-Ray security screening utilises the latest technological techniques and is ideal for the screening of mail, parcels, baggage and cargo. Used in a variety of location from corporate mailrooms and checkpoints through to prisons and airports the technology enables the efficient identification of threats.

Earlier this year Totalpost opened a company in France and they are currently in the final stages of opening a further subsidiary in Germany. These European ventures will be to further increase the sale of franking machine cartridges which the company produce in the UK. Additionally security equipment will be offered in Europe. Totalpost currently export 44% of the franking machine cartridges that they manufacture and supply.
