Life & Mobility Holding took over the Soest-based mobility scooter manufacturer Revatak on 24 February 2009. Life & Mobility Holding is based in Doetinchem and Revab, one of the main Dutch manufacturers of manual wheelchairs, is also part of the holding.

Life & Mobility Holding was looking for opportunities to extend its product portfolio and by doing so to increase its market. By collaborating with Revatak, Life & Mobility as a Group will have in addition to wheelchairs a complementary product range of mobility scooters available to strengthen its market position. Life & Mobility Group is therefore pleased that this addition to the product range will enable it to serve its customers even better in the future.

The merger will give an important impetus to new developments, with respect to both operating and sitting comfort, and technology. Revatak and Revab both have extensive knowledge and experience in the area of seat positioning for people with restricted mobility. The bundling of these forces offers carers, dealers and users a more extensive range of products. This provides them with a wider choice and more certainty with respect to the correct solution, based on high-quality mobility products. Revab – Wheelchairs Revab is an innovative Dutch producer of high-quality manual wheelchairs. In the world of manual wheelchairs it is a trusted name. In the past decades, it has built an excellent reputation.

The manual wheelchairs, which are developed entirely in house, stand out because of their design, good seat support, comfort and a modular product structure. When developing and producing wheelchairs, Revab's vision is that a wheelchair is more than an aid, it is an extension of the body. So logically, the human being is the starting point. Based on this vision, Revab's mission is to 'develop mobility products that make the lives of people with a disability more pleasant, so that they can lead as mobile and independent a life as possible'.
