Statoil Fuel & Retail is a leading Scandinavian road transport fuel retailer with over 100 years of operations in the region. Statoil has a broad retail network across Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltics, and Russia with approximately 2,300 full-service (fuel and convenience) or automated (fuel only) stations. During the developement of the new future store concept it was understood and decided that all areas have to be covered and with this insight a spezial Kids Play Area was decided to be part of the concept. Together with IKC staff a design proposal was made based on the experience of IKC what is and would be needed in the Kids Area. A specific area near the main restaurant seating area was chosen were parents can have a good sight on the children when they would be playing in the Kids Area. The content of the area was sourced to have a high educational level of entertainment with a target for various age groups varying from 3 to 8 years. This has resulted in a very attractive surrounding area where several wall mounted Play Modules have been installed as also the BeadsTree Table Set.
The area looks attracting and invites children to play leading to the benefit of the concept :
- Children in a relaxed state of mind
- Parents relax and taking more time for extra consumption
- Brand related loyalty, parents will Stopp at Statoil knowing the children have a spezial play area
- No damage to the due to loose components
- More free time for Statoil staff to focus on their own work and not having to look or watch for children
This concept future store will be monitored coming months whereafter this new concept might be considered rolled out throughout the markets where Statoil is active in.
