The UK's first Passenger Information System utilising an approved, raw 'Darwin’ real-time data feed went live this morning on the 7.22 First Hull Trains' service out of Kings Cross.

The KeTech KeInfom500 system is an industry first and game changing technology, far exceeding the functionality of any other current UK Passenger Information System.

21" High contrast displays in each carriage provide passengers with; Service Information including Calling Points, Journey Progress, Next Station Departures (with platform numbers), Expected Time of Arrival and Delay information. For trains travelling into London, Underground Route Service Indication (Rainbow Display) is displayed. Other information provided includes live BBC News Headlines, Next Station Weather, Safety advice and corporate information.

The First Hull Trains' system is a collaborative scheme involving various partners including; KeTech, First Hull Trains, Angel Trains, Alstom and ATOC NRE.

The KeInform500 system has generated significant interest in the rail industry and additional fleets have already been identified for fitment.
