Airport Conveyor Systems

The Vertical Sorter Type Easy is used to sort pieces of luggage between 2 or 3 levels, or alternatively to merge between these levels with an output of up to 1,800 pieces of luggage per hour. The EASY model is based on our top-of-the-line Vertical Sorter TYPE 2000, which has a sorting output of up to 2,000 pieces of luggage per hour.

BRIEF description:

• Maintenance-free tooth-belt drive: The pivoting process is performed by a maintenance-free tooth-belt drive and state of the art technology – an unbeatable advantage over conventional designs (eg, crank drive).
• Output up to 1,800 bags/h: Despite its compact design the EASY sorts up to 1800bags/h – guaranteed!
• Unrivalled short lifting time: The lifting time of less than one second enables lower belt speeds and results in the best possible flow of luggage.
• Sort up to 3 levels: The high flexibility of the lifting mechanism allows sorting / merging of up to 3 levels easily. So if necessary it is possible to save one sorting step.
• Compact design: The drive elements are skilfully concealed in the frame structure – resulting in maximum safety for the commissioning and maintenance staff, with easier accessibility due to well-placed maintenance openings.
• Overlapping side guides at the pivot point: Minimum of crushing risk, or damaging luggage because of continuous side guides. Optimized transition due to fulcrum at pivot point.
• Load transfer far away from fulcrum: Low forces in the system with maximum performance and at the same time maximum stability of the entire system.
• Extremely low noise generation: The sound level at full power is well below the required 75 decibels (dB).

Basically, the Vertical Sorter consists of two parts:

• the belt conveyor
• the frame with pivot mechanism

The length of the vertical sorter belt conveyor is between 2,000mm and 4,000mm and has a conveying speed between 0.5 and 1,5m/s. The speed may be adjusted by means of a frequency converter.
