We are excited to announce our Christmas update for our PADS4 digital signage software. One of the most anticipated new features is receiving automatic alerts with the PADS4 Agent application. Enhanced control of your digital signage network
We have added more control to the PADS4 Agent application and included a powerful way to respond directly to unexpected events in your digital signage network.
With this release you will automatically be notified in case of important issues in your digital signage installation. These notifications are made possible by using the new PADS4 Agent alerts functionality. By defining alerts in PADS4 Agent you can specify exactly what situations you wish the system to monitor and how you want to be notified.
For example you can automatically receive an e-mail when a network connection is lost for more than 5 minutes or be notified by an alarm sound when a certain PADS4 Viewer is running out of disk space.
In PADS4 Agent you can check all alerts that have been generated recently. The alert status informs you when the problem still exists or has already been resolved.
More flexible and better data source linking
The possibility to link your content to XML and/or RSS data sources have been improved. The XML/RSS data providers are now more flexible in accepting feeds that deviate from the official standard. In addition, also Media RSS feeds are accepted now.
The Microsoft Exchange data provider has been updated. It now works with the new Office 2013 drivers and the retrieval of information has been accelerated.
Improved Viewer monitoring
The Viewer watchdog process to monitor the correct working of your PADS4 Viewer application has become a built-in process that runs fully automated. When the system detects a severe problem that is not solved it will automatically perform a restart of the Viewer application.
Design content fit for Arabic text directions
When designing your text content in the PADS4 Designer application, you can now explicitly choose right-to-left text direction. This new option enables you to have a combination of left-to-right and right-to-left text lines, such as Arabic and English.
