FLIGHT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

XIAMEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, XIAMEN, P.R. OF CHINA
D.I.C.E have supplied hardware and software for new FIDS, Master Clock System and Telephone Enquiry System at Xiamen International Airport, the largest operating airport terminal in the Peoples Republic of China.  The FID System has 38 Input Terminals and 180 DDC’s, 180 VGA Monitors and 111 LED Matrix Signs.  The System uses a Windows NT Platform/Network and an Oracle Database with D.I.C.E application software displaying information in two languages, namely Chinese and English.  The MMI Interface for the operators is also in Chinese and English.  The System was operating when the Airport opened the new Terminal 3 on November 18, 1996 and was completed to incorporate all the requirements and changes that the Chinese had requested by the end of June 1997.

TEESSIDE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DARLINGTON, U.K.
In September 1995, D.I.C.E were awarded a contract by the Airport Authority to provide complete FIDS to Teesside International Airport.  The system comprises of a Multi-user Front End Processor, Windows-based Input Terminal and 11 displays connected by RS485 LAN.  Provision has been made for the addition of an automatic Airport Management System and accounting packages in due course. An option exists for the addition of a radio transmitter to provide flight information beyond the confines of the terminal building.

MANCHESTER AIRPORT, MANCHESTER, U.K.
A contract was received from Manchester Airport Authority in October 1994 to provide a radio broadcast Flight Information Display System to distribute flight information to remote Digital Data Converters in Terminal Concourse areas of the Airport.  The D.I.C.E Front End Processor receives a daily flight schedule from the airports information system and sorts it into arrivals, departures, international, domestic, terminal, date, time and handling agent files as well as converting IATA and status codes.  Information is displayed in public display format or the more detailed and cryptic staff format.

BAA LONDON AIRPORTS
Within the three London Airports, there is a wide mix of applications:
Heathrow Airport Ltd, Heathrow Airport, Hounslow, Middlesex, TW6 1JH, UK
At London Heathrow, the BAA provides us with a feed from their FIDS.  This is broadcast as passenger information to local hotels and car rental agencies and into airport car parks.  About 75 DDC’s are in service around London Heathrow and in the Transit Lounge in Terminal Two. Gatwick Airport Ltd, Gatwick Airport, West Sussex, RH6 ONP, UK
At London Gatwick, we accept a passenger FIDS feed from the BAA and broadcast it as 40 column data to local hotels.  We also receive detailed aircraft movements information from two aircraft-handling agents – Gatwick Handling and Servisair – which we format as 80 column staff data and send to the appropriate service providers such as Alpha Catering and Shell and Esso refueling operations.  There are around 65 DDC’s in and around London Gatwick.

Stansted Airport Ltd, Stansted, Essex, CM24 1QW, UK
At London Stansted, we take a feed from the airport’s FIDS LAN and broadcast it to the public as 40 column data for use in hotels and car rental agencies, and 80 column data for use by airline staff and service providers.  The RS485 cable system at London Stansted is now fully utilized so all future expansion is met by the D.I.C.E FIS.  More than 25 units are in service on the airport.

DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DENVER, COLORADO, U.S.A.
In December 1994, D.I.C.E were contracted to provide a functional extension of the airport’s flight information systems.  The D.I.C.E system comprises three Front End Processors which sort the flight information received from the host Infax FIDS into over 30 display pages in the desired display format and routes it via RS485 LAN to 42 Digital Data Converters and their associated Sony 27″ VGA monitors.  The whole system was delivered in January 1995 and, after some changes of specification, the system was handed over in March of that year.

MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MIAMI, FLORIDA, U.S.A.
In co-operation with the Metro-Dade Aviation Department, D.I.C.E have installed a Front End Processor and radio transmitter at Miami International Airport which broadcasts real time flight information, as produced by the host Infax FIDS Processor, to remote D.I.C.E Digital Data Converters and their associated display monitors in off-airport sites.

LONDON STANSTED AIRPORT BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEM
D.I.C.E Digital Data Converters controlling Information Displays have been supplied to AEG Ltd for an independent system for baggage handling at London Stansted Airport.

GREATER ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ORLANDO, FL, U.S.A.
D.I.C.E has provided Orlando International Airport with a Front End Processor to convert INFAX MUFIDS data into a protocol for transmission over radio to remote display monitors in hotels, limousine companies and other airport related businesses around Orlando.

HERTZ CORPORATION, ATLANTA, U.S.A.
D.I.C.E was selected by Hertz Corporation to provide FIDS Displays on their buses at Hartsfield International Airport, Atlanta, utilizing their patented Radio FIDS Technology, in a prototype test site The installation of this equipment, which included providing a Front End Processor to convert Delta Air Lines, and ultimately the Airport MUFIDS Flight Information Data, was completed in January 1997 and is being evaluated by Hertz.  Additionally D.I.C.E has installed Display Equipment in Hertz fixed office facilities at Orlando and Atlanta Airports.

JACKSONVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, JACKSONVILLE, FL, U.S.A.
D.I.C.E has provided Jacksonville Airport with a Front End Processor to convert INFAX FIDS data into a protocol for transmission over telephone lines and radio to remote displays in hotels, limousine companies and other airport related business around Jacksonville.

AUSTRAL AIRLINES
D.I.C.E through there USA representative has provided the software and display control hardware for a FIDS System for Austral Airlines located at the Aeroparque Airport in Buenos Aires.  The System utilizes AEG LCD Displays and Sony VGA Color Monitors. Installation commissioning phases were completed in March 1997.

BRITISH AIRWAYS
British Airways chose D.I.C.E to supply the software to drive their new AEG LCD Signage check-in System at Victoria Station in London.  This was completed in June 1997.

HILO AND KAPALUA AIRPORTS, HAWAII, U.S.A.
In August 1997, D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were awarded the contract to provide DDC’s and software for Hilo and Kapalua airports in the State of Hawaii.  The DDC’s which will be fed from a LAN will display flight information on Sony PGM2950 Color Monitors.  These Systems were completed in November 1997.

JACKSONVILLE AIRPORT, JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, USA
In September 1997 D.I.C.E were awarded the contract to replace the existing Infax System 15 MUFIDS Computers with the D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3 based FIDS System.  This was completed and put on line early December 1997.  D.I.C.E also took over the maintenance and support for future upgrades to this System.

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ORLANDO, FLORIDA, USA
In September 1997 D.I.C.E were awarded the contract to replace the existing Infax System 15 MUFIDS Computer with the D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3 based FIDS System.  This was put on line in April 1998.  D.I.C.E also took over the maintenance and support for future upgrades/additions to this large MUFID System finally resulting in driving over 600 assorted displays types

ALASKA AIRLINES/HORIZON AIR, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, USA
In April 1998 D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were selected by Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air to replace their existing shared FIDS Computer system with their D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3 based FIDS System.  Additionally, D.I.C.E will expand this FIDS System with additional LED Displays, Video Monitors, D.I.C.E Radio FIDS and interfaces to external systems.  This replacement/upgrade was completed by October 1998.  Phase II was completed in February 1999 which included an upgrade of the software and servers.

HOLLYWOOD/FT. LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, FLORIDA, USA
In March 1998, D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were awarded the contract to provide the new Airport MUFIDS System software, servers, and workstations.  D.I.C.E provided their FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3 based FIDS System.  This system will drive all the new FIDS Displays in the three renovated Terminals and one new Terminal as they come on line in the next two years.  The initial phase was completed in February 1999.

PALM SPRINGS AIRPORT, PALM SPINGS, CALIFORNIA, USA
In June 1998 D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were awarded the contract to replace the existing Infax System MUFIDS Computer/Workstations with the D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3 based FIDS System and expand the existing display system for the new concourse.  This was completed in October 1999.

KEAHOLE AIRPORT, KONA, HAWAII, U.S.A.
In July 1998, D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were awarded the contract to provide new FIDS System for the improvements at Keahole Airport.  The system will utilize D.I.C.E FIDS 7 software operating on redundant PC Servers, with workstations and color SVGA Monitors operating over a LAN.  This System was completed at the end of 1999.

LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, U.S.A.
In August 1998, D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were awarded a contract to replace the existing Airport FIDS System, which provides all the Airport’s Airlines Flight Information to MASSPORT facilities throughout the Airport.  This system utilizes the unique D.I.C.E radio data transmission technology to distribute this information and it also provides a real-time feed to the Airport’s Website.

ALASKA AIRLINES, ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ONTARIO, CA, U.S.A.  
In August 1998, D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were selected to provide a FIDS System for Alaska Airlines at their facility in the new Terminals at Ontario Airport.  This D.I.C.E FIDS 7 system utilize Color Monitors, LED Signs provided by the Airport, and an interface to the Alaska Airlines Image/Sabre System as developed exclusively for Alaska and Horizon Airlines.

HARRISBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, HARRISBURG, PA, USA
In September 1998 D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, were awarded the contract to supply the new Airport MUFIDS System using the D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3 based FIDS System with color monitors and LED Gate Displays.  The system is controlled by redundant PC Servers and 15 workstations, operating over a LAN Network, which was installed as part of this Project.  This was completed in December 1998.

TRANS WORLD AIRLINES, INC., JFK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, NY, USA   
In May 1999, D.I.C.E through their USA Representative, were awarded the contract to replace the existing Infax FIDS Computer System with a D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3.3 based FIDS System to drive the existing Infax Display Infrastructure and the new AEG LCD Departures Boards.  This was completed in October 1999.  Shortly thereafter, the existing Display Infrastructure was upgraded to color SVGA Monitors and displays.

TRANS WORLD AIRLINES, INC., SAN JUAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, P.R.     
In September 1999, D.I.C.E through their USA Representative, were awarded the contract to     provide a new D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3.3 based FIDS System including color SVGA Monitors for TWA’s new greatly expanded operation at San Juan International Airport commencing on November 1, 1999.  This was completed at the end of October 1999, in time for the November 1, 1999 flight expansion.

BRITISH MIDLAND HANDLING AGENT, GATWICK AIRPORT, LONDON, UK
In August 1999 D.I.C.E were awarded the contract from British Midland Handling Agent for a D.I.C.E FIDS 7 Network/Oracle 7.3.3 based FIDS System using the patented D.I.C.E Radio Distribution System.  This system complete with the Radio Receiver Display Terminals was installed in September 1999, and currently is being driven from the IDAHO link to the BA computer System.

In 2001, D.I.C.E was awarded the contract to install complete MUFIDS System, workstations and display monitors. D.I.C.E Radio System was used exclusively for FIDS displays on airport shuttle busses.

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ORLANDO, FLORIDA, USA
In 2003 D.I.C.E were awarded the contract to install New Gate displays, Fids monitors and Airline directory electronic signage. Expansion of the new airside terminal feeding Southwest and Jet Blue airlines.

JACKSONVILLE AIRPORT, JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, USA
In 2004 D.I.C.E were awarded the contract to Install new Flat panel LCD displays in the new security checkpoint area and upgrade Mufids displays to LCD technology.

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ORLANDO, FLORIDA, USA
In 2004-2005 D.I.C.E were awarded the contract to replace existing AGE LCD Displays with Dual Monitor banks. Over 70 new 32inch monitors were added to the Mufids system. Installing new bag carousel LED displays on 36 Bag claims. Install and drive Airline directory LED displays at ticket and bag claim kerb sides.

BAA LONDON AIRPORTS
2007 D.I.C.E Upgraded London Gatwick and London Heathrow with New software using Dicefids.net. Web based application to drive existing displays.

Existing systems at Orlando and Jacksonville also upgraded to Internet Web based technologies

PENSACOLA GULF COAST REGIONAL AIRPORT, PENSACOLA, FLORIDA, USA
In December 2008, D.I.C.E was awarded the contract to install complete new MUFIDS System, replacing our own existing system. Dicefids.net, our web based software was implemented.

New Bag carousels structures were installed with LCD displays. Gates and ticket counters displays were also installed. Service and maintenance contact for two years. Project completed September 2009 .Service and maintenance contact for five years

TULSA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, TULSA, OKLAHOMA, USA
In April 2010, D.I.C.E was awarded the contract to install complete new MUFIDS System, replacing our own existing system. Dicefids.net, our web based software was implemented.

Gates and Ticket counters and BIDS displays were also installed with mult channel Video display controllers running our software. Radio fids installed on 12 Airport shuttle buses displaying mobile Mufids.

Service and maintenance contact for five years. Project completed January 2011

MOBILE REGIONAL AIRPORT, MOBILE, ALABAMA, USA
In October 2013, D.I.C.E installed a complete MUFIDS operating totally via our Secure Cloud Servers. The Cloud server obtains its flight information directly from the airlines via the Internet. 18 displays are driven over the Internet from the Cloud server.

NON-FLIGHT DISPLAY SYSTEMS

DAYTONA BEACH USA – BUS INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM
D.I.C.E have provided a Bus Information Display System to the VOTRANS Transit Facility, Daytona Beach, Florida.  The software provides databases for scheduled and active bus movements, which are updated by vehicle detectors and manual input, to control passenger display monitors and STOP/GO lights in the bus bays.

DENVER RTD – BUS INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM
D.I.C.E have provided the Bus Information Display System software at two bus stations in Denver.  At each location the BIDS software accepts data from a Westinghouse Computer Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location System, converts it to a suitable format for its BIDS database, processes and sorts by station, gate, arrival/departure and other parameters before sending it, via RS485 LAN, to control gate signs, large LED display boards and clocks.

O’HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS U.S.A.
D.I.C.E though their USA representative, have supplied a total of 28 RS232/485 data radio receivers and 1 RS232/485 data radio transmitter for interfacing the new LED Clock/Messaging System installed in Terminals T2 and T3 at O’Hare International Airport.

AEG LCD BOARD MESSAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
D.I.C.E have completed a program to develop a sign message management system to control the latest range of AEG LCD displays.  The software package has been developed as a modular system, enabling customization by the user to meet their own requirements.

TALTRAN, TALLAHASSEE – BUS INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM
D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, was selected by Taltran to supply the replacement Bus Information Display System at their transfer Plaza in Tallahassee.  The replacement system included redundant PC Servers, workstations; touch screen Video Monitors, automated/manual voice announcement sub-system, LED Display Boards, ultra-sonic vehicle detectors, and remote access.  This completely integrated system is designed to be integrated with a system-wide vehicle location system in the future.  Completion of this Project was in July 1999.

125TH ST. STATION, NEW YORK, NY – AUDIO/VISUAL INFORMATION SYSTEM 
D.I.C.E, through their USA Representative, has been selected by Metro North Railroad to supply a real-time Audio Visual Information System to drive the existing AEG MIS Gmbh LCD Boards at 125th Street Station, just outside Grand Central Terminal in New York.  This System, will use a real-time database and will drive all the Platform Signs plus monitors in the Waiting Room, and also provide real-time automated announcements to the Public Address System to meet ADA requirements.
