State-of-the-art technology

A wide range of new technologies have been implemented for the new release 4.0. Thus, new features were available for the actual software programming and the general system performance could also be increased even further. Other advantages resulting from the new technologies are easier maintenance and improved surveillance of interfaces to other information systems. Furthermore, the options for adapting the standard software’s functions to individual business requirements have been enhanced which brings decisive advantages for users.

New and versatile system modules

The works for the new release also included the design of a number of new applications which added a wide range of features to the aviation software systems.

For the AirportStar-Suite a completely new software module has been designed. With AirportStar-FlightChart smaller airports now have a cost-efficient graphical resource management tool at their disposal. It features a Gantt chart view in which immobile resources like, for example, parking positions, gates etc., can be assigned to flights with simple drag & drop operations.

Ground handlers can also profit from the release of various new modules focusing particularly on mobile information exchange with the operational staff on the apron. New mobile apps for the online recording of handling services, de-icing procedures, crew and passenger transports and much more are now available.

Additional functions and features

The modules of the core system have not only undergone a technical modernization but have also been enhanced with powerful new features. The highlights here are further, effort-saving automations in billing and electronic invoicing, extended business logics for the continuous updating of flight schedule data (in compliance with requirements of A-CDM systems) and a modernization of the graphical user interface.
