The Directors of Pteris Global (“the Company” or “Pteris Global”) are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lim Joo Boon as an Independent Director of the Company with effect from 1 January 2011.
Mr. Lim held various senior leadership positions in Accenture Singapore and in the Asia-Pacific region. His career included Country Managing Partner in Accenture Taiwan, Head Electronics and High Technology Industries in Accenture Asia-Pacific and Head Supply Change Management.
Mr. Lim was a Senior Partner of Accenture Singapore before his retirement in 2003. Between 2004 and 2005, he was an Executive Director of the Singapore Totalisator Board and between 2005 and 2006, he was the Chief Executive Officer of SATA (Singapore Anti-Tuberculosis Association) on a voluntary basis.
He is presently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Nanyang Business School of Nanyang Technological University. He serves as a member of the board of SIA Engineering Ltd, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Singapore Pools Pte Ltd, Singapore Turf Club and Asia Philantrophy Ventures Pte Ltd.
Mr. Lim holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the University of Singapore. He is also a Graduate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, U.K.. He is also a Founder Member of the Institute of Management Consultants (Singapore) and Senior Member of the Singapore Computer Society.
The Directors welcome Mr. Lim as an Independent Director on the Board of Pteris Global Limited.
Mr. Lim is not related to any of the substantial shareholders, directors or managers of the Company.
