JPA is the design partner of American Airlines for the complete cabin redesign of the carrier’s forthcoming new Boeing 777-300ER fleet.
JPA has re-imagined the look and feel of American Airlines First Class, Business Class and Main Cabin sections and also created the aircraft interior’s unique self-service bar – a first for any U.S. airline – and the galley from a design, trim and finish perspective.
James Park, JPA’s Managing Director, said: “JPA is delighted to be partnering with such a globally renowned carrier on such an exciting project. The team has quickly warmed to the positive approach of our colleagues at American Airlines, which has really helped develop a strong and rewarding working relationship.”
Alice Liu, American’s Managing Director of Onboard Products, added: “Through the excellent design work and ‘can do’ approach of JPA we are elevating the onboard travel experience. Our partnership with JPA to design the interiors of our highly anticipated fleet of Boeing 777-300ER will result in another tangible opportunity for customers to experience American’s focus on modernization and innovation.”
American Airlines intends to take delivery of 10 Boeing 777-300ERs in 2012 and 2013.
