Airport Mobile Firefighting Equipment

Kronenburg developed a decontamination module designed for installation in new and existing airport CrashTrucks and various types of fire trucks.

The module fits into crash trucks and fire trucks superstructures and enables the utilization of the available water to create the solution/emulsion required to carry out effective decontamination.

Installing the module into an existing or a new CrashTruck of fire truck eliminate the need to invest and make available separate/additional decontamination trucks.

In most cases firefighters are also assigned to execute decontamination activities as a complementary duty, as such a CrashTruck or a fire truck combining both firefighting as well as decontamination duties is efficient and economic.

A solution/emulsion concentrate container having a volume of 0.5 cu. m. is connected to a vibrating/feeding system injecting the rated concentrate into the “Dedas” – an independent motor driven mixing system which creates a solution emulsion and delivers it to the decontaminated area by means of two (2) hand held nozzles assembled on a 30 m. hose reel or via a 6 m. wide carpet laying spraying system.
