Worldwide growth

As a system partner for international airports, Wanzl offers a first-class service – the company is a premium supplier to more than 150 airports throughout the world and is not only retaining a significant market share in the international airport sector, but is also increasing this share. From the first planning phase to the handover of a turnkey solution, Wanzl offers its partners complete service for luggage trolleys and duty free trolleys, trolley circulation, trolley protection, trolley management, trolley tracking and passenger guidance systems. Thanks to these service advantages, Nice Côte d'Azur Airport has also selected Wanzl as a supplier for the first time, following Paris and Bordeaux Airports. Since June, 2,900 Travel 300 luggage trolleys have been facilitating smooth luggage transportation in France's third-largest airport, through which more than 10 million passengers pass annually. The convenient Wanzl trolleys are available at 13 locations in both terminals as well as the airport car parks. In particular the modern design of the Travel 300, as well as its comfortable handling, even with heavy loads, impressed Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. Wanzl has also fitted the 'Travel 300' for Nice with special castors for secure positioning when using the travelators. Other European airports also value Wanzl as an airport partner: Vienna International Airport also selected Wanzl trolleys again – 2,000 Travel 400 trolleys will provide additional service for luggage transportation from the end of the year.

Airports in Africa

Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is one of Wanzl's long-standing customers. Anticpating the 2010 FIFA World Cup, ACSA has invested heavily in the expansion and renovation of South African airports over the past few years. ACSA ordered luggage trolleys as early as 2005; now, in view of the World Cup, Wanzl has delivered additional Eurosprinter trolleys, suitable for use with escalators, as part of a follow-up order for Durban and Johannesburg Airports. South Africa is very much on schedule with its preparations for the World Cup in June 2010. The world Cup's effects on sustainable development of the country and the African continent will go far beyond the 30-day competition. Airport operators in North Africa are also opting for the quality, top-class processing and durability of Wanzl products – Wanzl delivered 3,000 Travel 300 luggage trolleys to Casablanca Airport.
