Iveco Magirus Brandschutztechnik GmbH, world-renowned leader for complete range of vehicles for firefighting, has been awarded for equipping Brazil’s airports with 80 units of high-end ARFF Vehicles worth a total of 141 million Brazilian Reais (app. 53 million Euro).
The vehicles will be used in 27 airports of Brazil to meet the requirements that will mainly emerge with 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. This order represents the biggest single order of ARFF Vehicles in Iveco Magirus’ history.
The vehicles will be provided to Infraero – Empresa Brasileira de Infra-Estrutura Aeroportuaria, the company that manages airports, air navigation stations, and cargo logistics terminals in Brazil. It offers air cargo storage and custom duty, commercial area, boarding, landing and stay tariff as well as communication and air navigation auxiliary services. Its air navigation services provide safety to flights through the management services of air traffic, telecommunications and meteorology.
Iveco Magirus offers a wide range of ARFF Vehicles, from 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8 solutions on an exclusively developed chassis (Dragon Line) to 4×4 and 6×6 solutions on commercial vehicle chassis (Impact Line), all combining proven solutions and innovative technologies, multi-functional qualities and highly specialized capabilities.
