Airport Retail Management Software Solutions

Company Concessionaire Analyzer+
Date 25.09.2012

John de Giorgio, CEO of Concessionaire Analyzer+, the retail intelligence solution for airports, was a speaker at the ACI-Europe Commercial Forum meeting held on the 25th September 2012 at Alicante airport.

During his presentation, entitled “The use of business intelligence to maximise terminal retail activities” John focused on the critical importance of retail and F&B operations to revenue schemes of European airports, contributing nearly EUR4 billion annually, and the need for airports to analyse these revenues to allow them to better understand retail sales patterns and to influence and improve them further. By collecting concessionaires' sales data and combining them with flight and passenger numbers data as well as with people counting solutions, airports are able to apply business intelligence techniques to boost their operations.

"Boosting airports' revenues through retail and F&B operations is much easier and less costly than boosting aeronautical revenues which usually involve increasing passengers numbers usually impacting investments in infrastructure and staff" said John de Giorgio. "Even boosting retail performance by 0.1% can have a massive impact because retail revenues are large."

Concessionaire Analyzer is the first commercial product available to address the issue of retail intelligence for airports, a revenue sector which is of increasing importance to the sustainability of airports worldwide.
