This month will see Zoeftig fulfil an order of eight thousand Zenky seat places for two of Brazil’s largest airports, as the country prepares to host two key international sporting events.

Brazil is investing a total of $17b into its mass transit to cope with the demands of mass tourism during the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016.

Brasília International Airport, serving the country’s capital city, is undergoing a $306m upgrade to meet the increased demands in passenger throughput, comfort and security during these two major sporting events. Similarly, Greater Natal International Airport (Aeropuerto de São Gonçalo do Amarante) in Rio Grande do Norte, which will feed one of the key venues for next year’s FIFA World Cup, is currently under construction to become the largest airport complex in South America.

Airport seating at these airports needs to be strong enough to cope with the sudden influxes of passenger traffic, whilst comfortable and contemporary enough to show the host country in its best light.
