Human Recognition Systems (HRS) will join forces with Gatwick Airport to provide an exclusive talk at the prestigious Biometrics 2011 event at Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London on Wednesday 19 October at 9am.

Jim Slevin, HRS’ aviation business unit manager will co-present with Perry Hailey, Gatwick Airport’s head of technology in a 30-minute session entitled ‘Biometrics in mass transit – a case study of Gatwick Airport developments in 2011’.

The presentation will provide an industry overview of the previously unheard case study of Gatwick’s trial and deployment of two advanced biometric products: Human Recognition System’s MFlow Track (in conjunction with AOptix Technologies) and MFlow Journey (in conjunction with Cognitec).

"Biometrics 2011 is gearing up to be a fantastic show, with many cutting edge presentations,” said Mark Lockie, Biometrics 2011’s conference director.

“In particular, I am personally looking forward to the speech delivered by Gatwick Airport's Perry Hailey and HRS’ Jim Slevin on a new stand-off iris recognition system that has recently been installed by Human Recognition Systems at Gatwick Airport.

“It is a world first for this type of technology, and something of a scoop for us.”

“With such an international and prestigious audience attending Biometrics 2011, I am delighted to have been invited to co-present this talk about the deployment of our biometrics at Gatwick.”

“It is both timely and topical to provide this event’s experts with an exclusive insight into the application of advanced biometric technologies in aviation because the future development of international airports will absolutely depend upon them.

“As the prerequisite for better customer service presses airports to look for new ideas and solutions to make the passenger experience more pleasurable – and equally, more secure – our products are fast becoming the biometrics of choice to deliver on these demands.”
