Airport Security and Passenger Flow Solutions

Company Human Recognition Systems
Date 15.10.2012

Human Recognition Systems is overjoyed to have been awarded the Intellect Innovation Award at last night’s Software Satisfaction Awards 2012 in London.

The Intellect Innovation Award was to be awarded in acknowledgment of an innovative new product that has delivered measurable benefit for business users or customers, whilst recognising achievement in development, sales and implementation of new software products during the past 12 months and attracting significant UK end-user interest.

After a unanimous decision by the awarding panel, Human Recognition Systems were announced as the Intellect Innovation Award winners 2012. It was for their world first product, MFlow Journey, a product which has already been deployed in major UK Airports including Gatwick Airport and London City Airport helping to improve operational efficiency whilst enhancing the overall passenger experience.

Described as a ‘game changer’ on the night, the ground breaking MFlow Journey platform utilises passive facial recognition technology to track and manage people flow through airports and other transport hubs.  Facilitating real-time journey and queue measurement, MFlow Journey aids planning of staffing levels to reduce queue times and bottlenecks. The system also speeds up passenger movement into pre-determined dwell zones, such as retail areas, where airports can maximise revenues.

Addressing the issue of passenger journey measurement in addition to completing an on-going process of consultation within the wider aviation industry, this has resulted in a product with broad scope that can be applied to other airport and transport environments with ease.

Jim Slevin, Aviation Business Unit Manager of Human Recognition Systems who collected the award commented “HRS is extremely proud to have achieved this award, not least due to a unanimous verdict by the judging panel in recognition of our innovative and truly value adding software development.

“In recognition of our work with our two first customers for the solution, London Gatwick Airport and London City Airport, the most pleasing aspect of the award is that it is independently judged and awarded across the entire software industry.

“HRS and more importantly our customers have received a number of accolades for the deployment of this business intelligence solution yet this is the first award that recognises its achievement across the widest range of sectors including retail, banking, leisure and transport.”

This latest award is a welcome addition to the impressive portfolio of awards Human Recognition Systems has scooped in recent years for its dedicated work at the heart of innovation.
