Airport Security and Passenger Flow Solutions

Company Human Recognition Systems
Date 17.03.2011

Human Recognition Systems (HRS) are to bring their innovative technology product ‘MFlow Exit Lanes’ to Edinburgh Airport to manage anti-backtracking. The ‘MFlow Exit Lanes’ product will be deployed across both Domestic and International arrivals locations. This recent win builds on the successful deployment throughout 2010 of the product across five other terminals in the UK.

‘MFlow Exit Lanes’ uses video analytic technology to monitor the passenger exit routes from the security restricted International and Domestic airside areas, to non secure areas. This provides the airport with an enhanced security level against individuals trying to gain access, leave unattended objects, or pass objects into security restricted zones.

Jim Slevin, Transport Business Unit Manager at HRS, said: “We are very excited to be rolling out our anti-backtrack product ‘MFlow Exit Lanes’ at Edinburgh Airport. We are seeing great results at other UK terminals and we look forward to delivering these same benefits to Edinburgh Airport in 2011 and beyond”.

‘MFlow Exit Lanes’ has been designed by HRS to specifically meet and exceed EU and Department for Transport’s (DfT) rigorous airport security regulations. This makes it the best choice for UK airport operators looking to improve their management of people flow through exit routes.
