Key strategic spare parts location for Eastern Europe launches operations / Enhanced spare parts logistics and even greater availability / Strengthening of global network and closer proximity to markets

At the beginning of October 2015 the Hamburg-based company dedicated its new regional warehouse in Russia. Located in the town of Kuzayevo near Moscow, the spare parts warehouse is operated by logistics specialists Kühne + Nagel Kontrakt-Logistik.

“We consider our new regional warehouse in Russia to be a strategic warehouse location which will allow us to improve the supply of spare parts not only to our clients in Russia, but to our clients in neighbouring countries in future as well,” explains Stefan Brehm, Vice President for After Sales. “The new regional warehouse moreover strengthens our global network, since our spare parts logistics and availability can be managed even more efficiently from this day forward. Our global spare parts warehouses are already achieving an availability rate of over 98 percent.” And the benchmark has been set very high at the new location as well, with Jungheinrich planning to ensure 95 percent availability for parts shipped to customers from the warehouse.

Stronger Spare Parts Network Guarantees Closer Market Proximity
To achieve these goals in serving growth markets like Russia and in future Asia and the Middle East as well, spare parts availability is going to be increasingly expanded, according to Brehm: “Using global satellite warehouses we want to provide our customers with an even stronger spare parts network since we will be even closer to our markets. Our spare parts are intended to reach every user location in the shortest possible time – anytime, anywhere,” remarks the Jungheinrich after-sales specialist.

Jungheinrich has over 70 support bases throughout Russia. More than 180 Russian service engineers are currently underway across the country, guaranteeing the fastest possible service between Kaliningrad in the west and Vladivostok in the east.

High Turnover
The regional warehouse in Kuzayevo is divided into the logistical segments of incoming goods, storage, storage of hazardous goods, order picking, labelling and outgoing goods. The Hamburg-based intralogistics provider has also installed a Jungheinrich racking system on the warehouse mezzanine for the storage of small parts. A total of 12,000 different articles are stored at the warehouse facility. Jungheinrich estimates an annual flow of roughly 32,000 incoming and 60,000 outgoing deliveries.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, logistics systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
