Featuring a large number of solutions tailored to the construction industry, Jungheinrich will be appearing at Munich’s bauma 2013 – the “30th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment.”

The main focus of the Jungheinrich appearance at the show (open-air site F9/stand 908 A) consists of counterbalanced trucks manufactured at the company’s Bavarian-based plant in Moosburg. A special highlight involves a new electric counterbalanced truck from model Series 5. The new EFG 535-550 will be unveiled to the public at the “30th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment,” opening on April 15, 2013 in Munich. The aspect of cost efficiency plays a special role in this entirely newly developed model series. “The new truck delivers outstanding energy efficiency along with first-rate performance,” explains Stefan Pfetsch, Head of Product and Portfolio Management for Counterbalanced Trucks at Jungheinrich. “We call this Pure Energy.”

The new “S Line” features trucks with up to 600 millimetres of load distance centre, allowing for a substantial increase in residual load capacity. According to Pfetsch: “This makes it easier than ever to use sophisticated attachments.” The new “S Line” has been fitted with an extremely heavy-duty steering axle, designed especially for outdoor operations, as well as with larger tyres. The advantages of the stackers’ additional ruggedness are particularly obvious when it comes to demanding throughput requirements as well as heavy operations both indoors and outdoors.

In addition to the new truck series, Jungheinrich will be showing virtually its entire product range of counterbalanced forklifts at bauma 2013. This includes the company’s IC-engine trucks like the VFG Series 6, with a lifting capacity of up to nine tonnes, which have been rolling off the Moosburg production line since the end of 2012.

Jungheinrich is also showcasing its ETV Q multi-directional reach truck at bauma 2013. Thanks to electronically controlled all-wheel steering, this truck is capable of travelling in any direction, which means it can be used anywhere long loads need to be transported in narrow aisles or lifted to high heights. Thanks to its super-elastic tyres, the ETV C reach truck — also on display at bauma 2013 — can be employed both indoors and outdoors.

Extensive Range of Electric Trucks
Jungheinrich is moreover showcasing an entire range of forklifts and platform trucks produced at its plants in Norderstedt and Landsberg, Germany. These trucks, which are likewise suitable for construction industry applications, include the ETV 216 reach truck, the EJC 214 high-platform truck, the ERE 225 and EJE Series 2 electric low-platform trucks and the Jungheinrich EZS 570 tow tractors from the company’s Lüneburg production plant.
