Company Jungheinrich AG
Date 25.02.2014

At the LogiMAT tradeshow in Stuttgart the Hamburg-based firm will unveil new products from its tow train range, designed to optimise the staging of materials.

Jungheinrich is appearing at two exhibition stands at the 12th International Trade Fair for Distribution, Materials Handling and Information Flow – LogiMAT 2014 (Feb. 25-27) – where it will showcase its intralogistics solutions expertise. In line with the trade fair’s slogan of “Intelligent networking: Mastering complexity”, the Hamburg-based company will present its entire range of industrial trucks and intralogistics solutions on over 330 square metres of floor space in the stacker hall (hall 6, stand 201).

Jungheinrich will also unveil two new trailers of its tow train portfolio (type GTP and GTE) to a professional audience at LogiMAT 2014. These are part of an overall concept for client-specific tow trains, which will also be featured at the CeMAT 2014 trade fair in Hannover. “The use of these trailers makes it possible to execute several transport jobs simultaneously, making production processes leaner and guaranteeing not only a high level of supply security, but also an optimum use of resources,” reports Oliver Rosenthal, Product Manager for Tow Trucks at Jungheinrich.

Further highlights from Jungheinrich include a truck and a solution that have been both nominated for the 2014 IFOY Award – an EFG S40s electric counterbalanced truck and the Jungheinrich Logistics Interface. In addition the Hamburg-based enterprise will be showcasing two winners of the 2013 IFOY Award at LogiMAT 2014: a DFG/TFG 540s counterbalanced truck and an ETV/ETM 216 reach truck. These trucks were winners in the categories of “Counter Balanced Trucks“ (DFG/TFG 540s) and “Warehouse Trucks” (ETV/ETM 216) in the debut edition of the awards last year.

Live Demonstration of Warehouse Navigation

A further highlight at the Jungheinrich stand in Hall 6 involves the topic of narrow aisle warehouse navigation. A live demonstration based on an EKX 410 “Kombi” stacker equipped with WMS will show visitors “how easy it is to integrate Jungheinrich narrow aisle trucks into existing warehouse management systems,” explains Sebastian Riedmaier, Head of Product Management for Warehouse and System Vehicles at Jungheinrich. Riedmaier adds that the precise approach route to the target destination, optimised both in terms of time and distance, makes it easier for the operator to concentrate on the order picking task at hand.

Jungheinrich will also be exhibiting in the “software hall”, with a stand (hall 5, stand 421) measuring just under 100 square metres of floor space. There the Hamburg-based logistic systems specialist will showcase its expertise in software and IT hardware for warehouse applications. Visitors will be able to witness live demonstrations of integrated, holistic intralogistics solutions for manual and fully automated warehouses and see how entire projects can be successfully implemented in just eight weeks’ time.

Good Connectivity to New System Environments
The Jungheinrich Warehouse Management System (WMS) is one of the company’s featured software solutions at LogiMAT 2014. The WMS uses standard interfaces to connect to existing as well as entirely new system environments. A second product being highlighted at the Stuttgart-based show involves the Jungheinrich Logistics Interface – middleware developed by Jungheinrich to facilitate communication between WMS and truck control systems.

Tradeshow visitors will also find a number of intelligent solutions involving the use of industrial trucks to improve warehouse process efficiency at both company stands. This includes wireless data transmission and a truck guidance system, The Jungheinrich presentation is rounded off by services involving material flow analysis, leasing, after-sales and financial services.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, logistics systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
