Airport Towing Trucks For Material Handling

Company Jungheinrich AG
Date 18.03.2014

Having successfully established itself in the marketplace, the Jungheinrich Information System for Stacker Management (ISM Online) has now been further enhanced, as the Hamburg-based enterprise has added a complete new module plus a number of new features to its fleet management system.

Jungheinrich is presenting its latest version of ISM Online to an international audience of professionals at CeMAT 2014. The new fleet management system is capable of managing, analysing and optimising industrial truck fleets, irrespective of their size or complexity. A new feature of ISM Online consists of its Productivity module, which allows the user to analyse and consequently maximise the utilisation of his fleet capacity. “This also allows him to introduce productivity control measures for his industrial truck fleet at several locations – even internationally,” explains André Friedrich, Head of Sales/After-sales Service Coordination at Jungheinrich.

New Feature for Enhanced Warehouse Safety
The new, enhanced version of ISM Online includes new features which have been added to existing modules. One example is the Fleet Categorisation feature, which allows clients to categorise their fleet according to individual characteristics, for example cost centres or deployment sites. The client can also use the ISM Online Management Portal to determine whether the driver needs to do a pre-op safety check before beginning his routine. This new feature gives the client a comprehensive overview of the condition of the fleet. “This automatically increases warehouse safety,” remarks Friedrich, “because it ensures that only perfectly functioning vehicles can be taken into operation.”

ISM Online Available in 17 European Nations
Jungheinrich presented ISM Online for the first time at CeMAT 2011 and has steadily refined the system since then. Currently the Jungheinrich fleet management system is available in 17 European nations – apart from Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, this also includes the growth market of Russia. According to Friedrich, interest in ISM Online is running high – nationally as well as internationally. “At present we have implemented almost 700 intralogistics projects for our clients, including the food and beverage industry as well as the automotive industry,” he reports.

ISM Online is a web-based system with an intuitive, ergonomic user interface. Its well-designed, easy-to-read charts and tables make the fleet management system easy to use. The system is designed for managing both all-Jungheinrich fleets as well as mixed ones.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, logistics systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
