Airport Towing Trucks For Material Handling

Company Jungheinrich AG
Date 27.05.2014

Jungheinrich unleashed a powerhouse of innovations and product enhancements at CeMAT 2014, the world’s leading intralogistics fair. During the five-day event – running from May 19 to 23 in Hanover, Germany – Jungheinrich staff registered a substantial jump in the number of orders, for a total of about 15 million euros. Professional attendees were delighted at the over 20 product innovations on display at the company stand. Key visitor magnets included the new DFG/TFG 316/320 and DFG/TFG 425/435 diesel and LPG-powered stacker generation, the new series 1 and 3 reach trucks, the new tow train system with up to nine tonnes of towing capacity including a range of different trailer models and, finally, Jungheinrich’s brand new lithium-ion solutions. On the very first night of the event, Jungheinrich received an International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award for its EFG S40s in the key category of “Counter Balanced Trucks from 3.5 Tons”.

Dr. Lars Brzoska, member of the Jungheinrich Board of Management in charge of Sales, summed up the company’s performance as follows: “With over 130 products and 24 innovations on display, our appearance here offered an impressive demonstration of the way Jungheinrich has become an intralogistics benchmark. Coming from 30 different nations, the 250 members of the Jungheinrich tradeshow team conducted high-calibre consulting and sales talks with visitors from across the globe. An incredible team performance!”

Growing Importance of Complete Logistics Solutions
Jungheinrich also showcased its competence in complete logistics solutions for the benefit of an international trade audience in Hanover. Apart from a range of narrow-aisle vehicles, this included wireless data communication, the stacker guidance system, the logistics interface, the Jungheinrich WMS warehouse management system and Jungheinrich Lift Racking (LRK). A presentation of the interaction between automated industrial trucks in complex warehouses – available in a live demonstration at Pavilion 34 – was a particular magnet. Jungheinrich was the only industrial truck manufacturer to dedicate an entire exhibition pavilion to the topic of logistics systems. “This underscored the enormous significance of complete logistics solutions in our industry,” said Brzoska, adding that “Jungheinrich is a leader in this area as well!”

Jungheinrich Nets IFOY Award
The International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Awards on May 19 honoured Jungheinrich in the “Counter Balanced Trucks from 3.5 Tons” key category. A high-calibre jury composed of international trade journalists bestowed the award on Jungheinrich for its EFG S40s – a battery-powered counterbalanced stacker, developed and produced at the Jungheinrich plant in Moosburg, Germany.

CeMAT, the world’s leading intralogistics fair, will in future be staged every two years in Hanover. This year 53,000 trade visitors attended the event to take in displays of products and services by 1,025 exhibitors. With a total of 8,000 square metres of display space, Jungheinrich again had the largest trade fair stand.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, logistics systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
