Speed Zoning System

Fork lift trucks travelling too fast in congested areas put people, products and infrastructure at risk. For your complete peace of mind and assurance that trucks are moving at safe speeds in vulnerable areas, Davis Derby developed the TruckLOG Speed Zoning System.

A series of strategically–located infra–red (IR) transmitters positioned over doorways around your site create the speed-controlled zone. Open areas such as canopies can also be controlled using multiple transmitters to form an IR curtain across the full width of the opening. These transmitters send coded signals to limit vehicle travel speed and can also restrict the trucks’ reach height. The signals are processed by IR receivers fitted to each truck. A test emitter is also installed on vehicles to verify that receivers are fully functional. Should a receiver develop a fault, the low speed default setting is activated.

Setting up the Speed Zoning System is simple. Your required speed codes are sent to the IR transmitter units by way of a handheld programming device which you can also use to confirm correct speed settings at any time.
