Earlier this year Rushmoor Borough Council and Hart District Council merged their respective control rooms into a new, centralised CCTV control room.

The project mandate was to deliver a state-of-the-art Digital CCTV Control Room capable of controlling all the existing Rushmoor & Hart CCTV cameras.

This posed many challenges requiring a number of different legacy systems to be integrated into a single unified system.

At the centre of this vision was RJH Technical Consultancy Ltd, the consultants appointed to design the new control room and oversee delivery of the project.

In this interview we hear the views of Mr Roger Hardiman (project consultant) on his involvement in the project, its success and the benefits directly derived from the merger.
