Alstef Group provided Euroairport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg with a new baggage handling system

Commissioning of the final integration phase of the standard 3 control machines at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.

This project led by Alstef Group since February 2019 ended with the reception and commissioning of the third and last Standard 3 check-in machine for hold baggage. EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse- Freiburg is now compliant with the latest European regulations in force and a precursor.

The system also integrates a new process for the additional control of hold baggage by cynotechnical teams for which the imaging operators did not remove the doubts during the first levels of control. This innovative principle is unique in France. This configuration also reduces investments in machines and automated conveyor systems as well as operating costs.

The work was phased and carried out while maintaining operational operations, considered to be one of the major challenges for the airport. This challenge was achieved thanks to the performance of the teams in charge of the project and the close collaboration between EuroAirport Basel- Mulhouse-Freiburg and Alstef Group.
