Alstef is in charge of the maintenance and operation of Sheremetyevo Airport’s Terminals B and C in Moscow for a 10-year period.

After having completed and commissioned the complete baggage sorting systems in Terminals B and C of Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Alstef has also been chosen to maintain and operate these two terminals for a period of 10 years.

In order to meet the performance commitments, a team of 80 people is working on the 2 terminals. The organization allows a 7/24 presence to ensure the system’s operation as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of the equipment. Remote assistance and the implementation of a CMMS complete the system.

The installation is controlled from the control room by BagWare software developed by Alstef. The teams can manage the allocation of the sorting chutes according to the flights, the automatic storages, the update of the flight schedules based on daily objectives, or the treatment of the out-of format baggage. Baggage tracking is ensured throughout the various screening stages (explosives, radiation, customs, prohibited items, etc.), including manual coding if necessary, and sending the baggage to the reconciliation zone if the baggage is suspicious.
