Anti-Glare Roller Blinds For Air Traffic Control Towers

Having had the Reflex-Rol ‘Aviation” Solar & Glare Control Systems installed in the Control Tower VCR in Cork some 3 years ago The IAA earlier this year decided to roll out the systems for both the tower VCR’s in Dublin and Shannon, fitted out by Reflex-Rol UK.

3 Years of testing and living with the system convinced the IAA of its functionality and robustness, over the period of that time it gave a myriad of different weather conditions. Although installed on the inside of the VCR (as the PDF Below shows) weather conditions can let through a lot of different light and glare conditions at the controllers in the VCR.

Clearly the system has withstood the test of time.

The company first made its own surveys of both towers, manufactured the systems and then sent its own crew out to complete the installation, resulting in a ‘turn-key’ operation for the client.
