Anton Air Support focusing on fixing the most common problems associated with PBB use

Anton Air Support is a company that is an expert when it comes to inspecting, renovating and maintaining passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) at airports.

With years of experience on building and renovating all different kinds of PBBs, Anton Air Support has had projects on many different airports and has developed the knowledge and ability to renovate an old PBB into a completely new PBB.

At the moment, Anton Air Support is focusing on designing new features to help airports fixing their most common problems associated with PBB use. Dirk Pepping, managing director of Anton Air Support states: “The main aim is to create a solution for PBBs that is passenger friendly, easy to operate, has clear instructions and needs as little maintenance as possible.”

According to Pepping, the main source of their strength, is that Anton Air Support is part of a young, energetic and very professional group that operates in every sector.

Anton Air Support is currently thinking of a way to convince airports to choose renovations of the PBBs rather than installing an entirely new one. “Renovating PBBs instead of installing a new one is more efficient as in most cases, only a certain area of the PBB needs to be replaced. On top of that, renovating knows a huge environmentally advantage as we use far less materials and machines.”

Anton Air Support has recently worked on a project for the Leeds Bradford Airport in the UK to thoroughly renovate two 18 year old PBBs and installed a new control panel to increase the operating efficiency when using the PBBs. Other recent projects include an installation of an A380 stand at Zaventem Airport in Belgium and the renovation of a PBB for Gardermoen Airport in Oslo, Norway.

Pepping says: “We think it is really important to work closely with our customers and listen very carefully to their wishes. This way we can not only keep our clients satisfied with our services, but we can also improve our own overall skills and knowledge by creating many different kinds of PBBs and customizations.”

The company has recently designed a new trim arm.
