Singapore—ARINC Incorporated today announced its Asia Pacific Division has opened two new sales and service offices at Mumbai and New Delhi in India. The addition of these operations brings the company’s representation in the Asia Pacific region to a total of 11 countries in just six years.

“We will soon announce major contract wins in India and the Philippines, and this type of interest from new customers is a major driver of our current growth,” stated Randy Pizzi, ARINC Vice President, Asia Pacific Division. “However, our principal business strategy has always been to provide exceptional support for existing customers. This approach has clearly won us new friends and opportunities as well.”

ARINC opened its Singapore headquarters in 2003 with a staff of six people in the region. Since then, it has captured a growing share of the Asia Pacific market for aviation communications and airport technologies. The company commemorates ten years of partnerships with the civil aviation authorities of Thailand and China for GLOBALinkSM  this year, and it recently expanded its GLOBALink communications network with new infrastructure to serve airline customers in Australia and India.

ARINC has also won or renewed IT contracts with many of Asia Pacific’s busiest airports, including Incheon International Airport in Korea, Narita International Airport in Japan, Hong Kong International Airport, and Singapore Changi Airport. It leads the Asia Pacific airport market in Common Use Self Service (CUSS) kiosks, with major projects in Japan making up the majority of CUSS installations in the region.

The company has also introduced new customized data network services for its airline and government customers, including an end-to-end Network Management Solution that includes Electronic Borders applications and AviNet® Airport service.

At Changi, ARINC’s revolutionary VeriPaxTM technology is making its world debut. VeriPax combines automatic security screening and passenger reconciliation, enhancing both passenger flow and security for access to a terminal’s airside areas. It can detect and highlight duplicate boarding passes, and can be customized to perform other checks such as validating passenger names against a "watch list" database, or checking passenger itineraries against valid flight schedules for the day. Airlines can customize the checks to suit their business needs.

“The past six years have been an exciting and enriching experience for us in Asia Pacific,” continued Pizzi. We are very fortunate to have worked with many respected industry partners and customers throughout the region, and we are now investing heavily to strengthen our presence here and deliver even better service.”

ARINC Incorporated, a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, provides communications, engineering and integration solutions for commercial, defense and government customers worldwide. Headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland with regional headquarters in London and Singapore, ARINC is ISO 9001certified.
