The Copperchase ATC – Information Display System is proving to be a popular concept, eliminating the old inflexible ‘Tote’ Display Systems and the need for various notes, maps and instructions to be hung up around the Controller Position. The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) at their North Atlantic Communications Centre Ballygirreen and UK National Air Traffic Services (NATS) at Bristol Airport have recently placed orders for the ATC-IDS with Copperchase.

The IDS for the IAA at Ballygirreen facilitates the management of dynamic and static data used in the North Atlantic environment (NATS Tracks, Frequencies in use, Charts, MAPS and Briefing Notes etc…..) The IDS will also automate the briefing of staff by introducing Electronic Self Briefing ensuring that staffs are fully informed and aware of all operational issues before commencing duty.

NATS at Bristol Airport are to use the ATC-IDS for the display of key operational data such as Aerodrome Layouts, Parking Stands Information, Grass Cutting Areas, and ATC Frequencies and so on.
