Three questions to Gian Paolo Fedrigo, the new CEO of Datalogic Automation
Since January 2011, Gian Paolo Fedrigo is the new CEO of Datalogic Automation.
In Datalogic Group for 18 years, the new CEO has covered several key positions in Italy and abroad. We'd like to understand his point of view and plans for the company.
Which kind of background did you find in Datalogic Automation?
I was really positively impressed. I found a well structured organization, yet very dynamic and future-oriented. A solid company, with the clear goal of playing a major role in the development of Datalogic Group.
Which are the Company's strenghts?
Customer intimacy, R&D strong focus and people commitment: these are the three factors that made Datalogic Automation a key player in Industrial Automation – since its origin in 1972. Out R&D activity is driven by market needs: Mission critical solutions and quality are the key words. In a nutshell, we'd like to help companies worldwide to be successful through industrial automation process and product traceability.
What about future market challenges?
Industrial Automation and T&L markets are huge and extremely dynamic – both from a technological and geographical point of view.
The key word is focus.
Focus on target markets, in particular Germany, United States and China – where Datalogic Automation experience in product traceability, as well as the span of our offer – ID and marking systems, sensors and safety devices – can make the difference.
Focus on innovation: we will invest in innovative technologies for fast growing market segments – vision is one of that.
Focus on people: once again, to be successful we will leverage the experience, the passion, the energies and the creativity of this wonderful team of men and women, whom I have now the honor to lead.
