Platform Sales & Hire Ltd - Celebrations for Skyjack in Brazil

Skyjack held a celebration in Brazil to welcome customers to its new facility in Indaiatuba near São Paulo. The event coincided with the first anniversary of Skyjack’s Brazilian operation – a venture that has exceeded the company’s expectations.

Guests were welcomed with a spectacular display of scissor lifts in a pyramid formation, lit by searchlights giving a striking entrance to the celebration. The facility was also decorated with the logos of over 30 customers working with Skyjack in Brazil to recognise the partnerships the scissor lift manufacturer has made with companies since opening operations. “We look forward to adding more banners, and if that means we need more wall space, well then that’s a good problem to have!” said Adriano Battazza, general manager of Skyjack Brazil.

Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack, explained how Skyjack has become the world’s leading scissor lift manufacturer: “Skyjack has enjoyed an enviable reputation for scissor type products, largely based on their simple reliability, quality and solid performance. That has led to a situation in 2013 where we will manufacture our 250,000th machine. A quarter of a million machines is something we are very proud of and we look forward to expanding that reputation with our boom product.”

Battazza added: “In less than a year Skyjack has taken a leadership position in the market for scissor products in Brazil. Brazil has shown an interest in Skyjack products for some time, and a key part of the timing of our decision to come to the market has been to ensure that we supported customers, not only with well-designed and reliable products but with the appropriate aftermarket support. I am pleased to say our parts inventory and delivery performance is such that we have in excess of a 95 percent same day pick rate.”
