Dream Order For Platform Sales & Hire Ltd

Thomson Fly the UK airline has just purchased two 18m truck mounted access platforms from Platform Sales & Hire.

The Milton Keynes based company has supplied two Ascendant 18-13TJ access platforms mounted on Nissan Cabstar 3.5T trucks. The units have been purchased by Thomson’s,  to give all-round access to their fleet of brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The Ascendant 18-13TJ was selected after a round of demonstrations with different products, the 18-13TJ scored with its compactness and ease of safe operation, two features which figure highly in the tight confines of any aircraft maintenance ramp area.

The machines have been formally handed over to the company’s aircraft maintenance division, with the first unit going to Manchester Airport and the second unit going to Gatwick Airport.
