Approach Lighting Systems (ALS) provide visual information on runway alignment, height perception, roll guidance, and horizontal references. They are critical during the transition from instrument flight to visual flight for landing. Carmanah’s ALS system is flexible and extensible, making it ideal for permanent, temporary, emergency and military airfields.

• No high voltage cables – easy and safe to install

• Steady-burning and sequenced flashing lights; peak candela 10,000 cd
• Up to five brightness steps. Controlled and remote-activated by handheld controller (2.5 mile /4 km range) or digital radio (ARCAL)
