STAHLWILLE's new, enhanced functionality torque wrench No 730N has redefined the torque wrench in terms of speed, accuracy and safety. This new tool offers considerable benefits in handling and accuracy while, at the same time, reducing its susceptibility to dirt and wear.

The clearly defined, audible setting positions make setting up the tool in seconds an easy matter. This is the easy, rapid-action, one-handed QuickSelect setting system. For example, the entire setting range of the medium-sized wrench requires no more than 8 turns of the knob from one end to the other. As soon as the required value has been reached, the setting is locked simply by pushing in the knob until it clicks. It is then impossible to change the setting inadvertently.

The clearly designed progress of the scale during setting is an aid to accurate positioning. Since only the knob is turned and the handle stays still, the twin scale remains visible throughout the setting procedure. The scale uses different colour coding for the Nm and ft.lb scales. This enables the user to differentiate between the two unit scales more accurately and facilitates fine setting using the ring scale.

Once the torque applied to a joint reaches the preset value, the user is given a double signal – by noticeable force feedback in the handle and an audible click.

The spring steel measuring element is only under load during the tightening process. It is no longer necessary to reset the wrench as it is with torque wrenches fitted with a screw compression spring. The wrench is subject to virtually no mechanical wear. Any adjustment of the wrench can be carried out externally without time-consuming disassembly of the tool.

The encapsulated design of the internal mechanism proves its worth time and again in tough daily use. It prevents dirt finding its way into the mechanism which might otherwise damage the tool. The ground triggering cams are extremely resistant to mechanical wear.

The ergonomically designed, non-slip 2-component handle with soft pads integrated at the points of maximum pressure ensure the handle fits comfortably in the hand. The hard handle zones are made of jolt and impact-resistant plastic. The insert tools are held securely in place with the tried-and-tested STAHLWILLE QuickRelease system. The result is that the inserts are easy to change yet absolutely securely held – guaranteed.

The direction of tightening of the wrench is displayed on both sides of the handle by arrows. To apply torque in an anticlockwise direction, simply turn the wrench over and attach the insert tool.

The guaranteed maximum deviation of indication of the 730N is +/- 3% of the preset value. As one would expect, the wrench is designed to comply fully with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 6789. Each wrench is supplied in a knock-resistant transport case with a STAHLWILLE works calibration certificate.
