Aviation/Cargo Security Seals

(The information below does not relate to the Acme Bolt Seal that is fully certified as compliant to IS17712:2010)

In the absence of test reports from an independent laboratory we cannot and do not formally claim compliance BUT by default every Acme Indicative seal is in fact compliant to the current standard.

How? quite simply IS17712:2010 classifies seals as H, S or I on the basis of achieving a minimum set of physical values during  the four physical test procedures for Tensile, Shear, Bending and Impact.

Any seal returning values that are (less than) those required to be classified as a Security (S) seal are automatically classified as an Indicative (I) seal and there are no minimum values set for Indicative seals.

For this reason we at Acme have not submitted our Indicative seals for formal testing as we know from our own internal product tests that the return values will be (less than).
