50 years of development in aviation security screening processes
Security checkpoints in airports have been around for over 50 years since their introduction in the early 1970s, following a series of airplane hijackings. Over the last 20 years, security screening processes have developed from traditional x-ray systems and walk-through-metal-detectors, to automated security lanes with CT-scanners for cabin baggage handling and millimetric wave security scanners for passengers.
Our belief is that the AvSec Industry, like any other industry, should be in constant development to address the demand of the airport processes. This to take advantage technological developments, innovations, operational insights and to create the best possible operational process and experience within the boundaries of the airport requirements and ever-changing legislation.
