Baggage Handling Systems at Airports

Veghel – At the end of March 2010, Vanderlande Industries received the order from Hochtief Polska for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a baggage handling system for a new passenger terminal at Wroclaw Airport, Poland.

Vanderlande Industries was awarded the contract because it offered the best solution that resulted in the lowest lifecycle costs and optimal operational performance.

The scope includes amongst others twenty-one check-ins, integration of hold baggage screening equipment, automatic sorting to twelve chutes, a SAC computer, four flat TRIPLANAR arrival carousels and a service package covering a period of 72 months after take-over. The total order value amounts to 1.6 million Euro. Take-over is scheduled for March 2011.
