CAMOR's Chairman reflects on the company's achievements

Company CAMOR Ltd
Date 28.03.2022

As I approach the end of my first year as Chair of CAMOR, it has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside the team, all dedicated and committed professionals who care about making a difference. As with most businesses, the impact of COVID has led to significant and varied challenges, however the team have continued to adapt throughout, with a clear focus to inspire change through an innovative approach to security.

These innovations have included the development of our flagship General Security Awareness Training (GSAT) for the Aviation industry using an interactive gaming platform; this has been shortlisted at the UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) in the “Outstanding New Security Product” category; our innovative approach to tackling the increasing issue of Insider Threat; and commitment to accrediting CAMOR’s courses through the Scottish Credit & Qualifications Framework, professionally recognising security training through academia.

Importantly, we are committed to supporting, developing and enhancing the skills of our own staff and the organisations we work with, having recently achieved our “Gold” status for Investors In People. In addition, we proudly support our Armed Forces and Veterans, being recognised as a Gold Award winner through the Employer Recognition Scheme of the Armed Forces Covenant.

The last year has seen the company take large strides forward and we are looking ahead at a new chapter of CAMOR’s history as we continue to work with a large number of Airports and other sectors in the UK, while exploring wider opportunities in both Europe and Globally; a very exciting prospect.
