Ticket specialist Fleischhauer Datenträger is stepping up the generation of regenerative energy to a total of 250,000 kilowatt hours per year with the installation of another photovoltaic plant. "This corresponds to the energy demand of 50 single-family homes," says Philipp Halbach, General Manager. The two production facilities in Herne and Schwerte are now equipped with a total of 3000 photovoltaic modules. This means that Fleischhauer Datenträger is able to cover a significant proportion of the energy required for the production of car park tickets with clean solar energy.

Fleischhauer Datenträger regards the generation of regenerative energy as being an integral element of an environmental program that combines the consistent recycling of production waste with efficient energy management and use of paper from sustainable forest management. Recycled paper can now be used for some of the car park systems as well.

Philipp Halbach attributes the importance attached to sustainability to the long-term planning horizon of the family-owned company: "We will be celebrating our 180th anniversary this year. This also includes investments to improve the ecological performance of our manufacturing processes."
