The airport handles intensive commercial, cargo, and military traffic, with operations influenced by strong sunlight, sea reflection, and high summer temperatures. Controllers face persistent glare from surrounding terrain and apron surfaces throughout the day. Reflex-Rol blinds were engineered to control solar glare and heat while maintaining clear, distortion-free visibility across runways and approach paths. Custom-fitted to inclined glazing, the system improves thermal comfort, reduces visual fatigue, and supports safe, efficient air traffic operations within this safety-critical island aviation environment year-round.
