CASRA at the IEEE ICCST conference in Orlando

Company CASRA
Date 21.11.2016

On October 24-27 2016 CASRA attended the IEEE ICCST conference in Orlando, USA and presented a paper. The scientific publication by Visser et al. describes how customs inspection procedures of cargo shipments at land and sea borders may be improved.

Automated target recognition (ATR) algorithms locate licit and illicit objects among transported goods. A database with over 35’000 sample was constructed to support both algorithms and officers in their analysis and detection. The X-ray image data standard was developed to facilitate data exchange from scanners of different make and model. Specially developed computer-based training simulation software educates and evaluates officers in their ability to detect suspect goods in X-ray images. To view the paper click here.
