On display at the event will be three new products:

• • Modular Hybrid Capable Check-in Counter

CCM Airport Interiors has developed and will demonstrate its modular and hybrid capable check-in counter at this year’s Passenger Terminal Expo.

The company has focused on a need to provide a simple and modular solution for Airports to upgrade flexibly between Traditional Check-in, Hybrid Self-Bag Drop, Advertising Services and Passenger Information Services.

Since its deployment to Changi Airport Terminal 1 in 2017 as a traditional check-in counter, the Counter has undergone a redesign, incorporating an evolution of capabilities in partnership with Aeroporti di Roma for the Terminal 1 in Fiumicino.

The collaboration with Aeroporti di Roma enables CCM to provide a new generation of Hybrid Check-in counter, a counter with the vision, simplicity and flexibility to drive a new era for Airports and Passengers.

Utilising a modular system, the Counter can be flexibly upgraded to incorporate any number of functions by add or exchanging one module for another.

CCM’s Hybrid Self-Bag Drop Check-in module allows for the seamless integration of a fully automated Self Service Baggage Drop unit into the Counter, where the look and feel matches the Airport’s requirement.

CCM’s Advertising and Information Module enables the streaming of digital content to the Check-in Counter which can be displayed to the Passenger on every Counter position. For Aeroporti di Roma, this was an important point as it delivers design consistency across the check in island as well as enabling the display of Flight Information and Airline Counter allocations for Passengers during the queuing.

The position of the screen also provides a better experience for passengers with reduced mobility.

• The Re-pack Counter

CCM has developed an innovative new product called the Re-Pack Counter.

The Re-pack Counter has been specifically designed to facilitate the need in the Check-in Area for Passengers to validate their baggage allowance, print baggage tags and verify whether their luggage is oversize. Mobile and able to be positioned as per Customer Requirements within the Check-in Hall, it opens up a new dynamic for Passengers to “repack” their luggage in a safe and defined way.

Integrated into CCM’s cloud services, the Repack Counter works seamlessly with CCM’s Hybrid Self Bag Drop solution enabling 2 Step Processes for Passengers without the need for a Check-in Kiosk.

Enabled with a Payment Service for Overweight Baggage, the Re-Pack Counter provides a new level of service to Airports and Passengers.

• SCALO Beam Seating

The Beam Seating solution designed by Architect Jean Nouvel for Matteograssi combines the high quality manufacturing of the CCM Group with the designer’s taste and vision. The furniture has a minimal, linear and well-defined structure, which recalls the architecture of the buildings designed by the French Designer, perfectly matching with the space requirements of an Airport.

As per Matteograssi ’s heritage, the Coach Hide Leather is worked artfully to provide a seamless construction, while providing an extremely durable and long lasting product.

While also available in PU, the Coach Hide Leather is where this product truly shines, as the leather can be maintained like new over decades.

The Beam Seat Arm Rests become a technological hub, thanks to the electrical sockets and USB recharge points allowing Passengers to charge laptop and portable devices in any position.

It is the simplicity of Design as well as the Integration of new technologies into a high quality product which leads to new ideas, increasing Passenger comfort and usability features for Passengers.
