Announcing the new CEM sPass reader and DCM 350 two-door controller with secure RS485 encrypted communications.

CEM has also released a pre-personalised DESFire Smart card. Combined as one end-to-end solution, these new products offer the market a low cost, yet highly secure solution when a panel approach is required.


Key benefits

• RS485 encrypted communications from the controller to the sPass reader eliminates the threat of Wiegand signal cloning
• sPass reader has powerful 3DES (Triple DES) encryption eliminating the threat of card cloning
• CEM DESFire Smart card is pre-personalised with secure encrypted keys. This provides the benefit of customer convenience and cost-efficiency as customers do not have to worry about cost of key management. As keys are managed securely by the system, there are also no programming cards.
